Player Information
Name: Mel
Contact:
sandshrew
Age: 28
Other Characters: Alluka Zoldyck, Raichi Todoroki, Keith
Character Information
Name: Soleil
Canon: Fire Emblem: Fates
Canon Point: Post Conquest.
Age: Never specified, but old enough to lead a band of mercenaries and also be accepted into a military group without any question. I'd estimate somewhere between 18-24?
History: The profile section of her wiki page details her paralogue, which is the only real bit of 'history' we receive that's exclusive to Soleil. A summary of Conquest, which is the game she is being taken from, can be found at the link provided, and is information she would either be directly involved in or otherwise privy to.
Personality:
Right out of the gate, most people who meet Soleil are very quick to find where her interests fall: cute girls. Gods, she loves cute girls, and she loves flirting with them the most. It's stated that she has good taste in both men and women, but where her favor lies is completely transparent, as she'll dial up the charm to 11 the second a cute girl enters her radar. It's through this that Soleil showcases her biggest strength - she's ridiculously charismatic. Her love of sweeping women off their feet is a parallel drawn to her father's propensity for flirting, though her attempts are highly successful, where his often backfire. However, while most of her advances are taken enthusiastically by her targets (mostly NPC type characters, background villagers and citizens that hold no bearing to the story), many of her companions (fellow characters recruited to help fight in the player character's war) are a little less than receptive to them. A few of them even treat her actions as borderline predatory, simply because Soleil just can't tone it down, a flaw which she herself even notes when things get a little out of hand, and at times she'll even get so overwhelmed with affection that she blacks out, only to find herself coming to surrounded by ladies waiting on her hand and foot. Flirt game too strong she doesn't even need to be lucid for it apparently dang Soleil.
Despite her tendencies to skew meetings with her fellow females in a particular direction, her warm and inviting personality is genuine. With everyone she meets, she does her absolute best to create a sunny and optimistic atmosphere, with a few characters even comparing her to the sun itself with the calm and ease she can instill upon other. Ever since she was little, her father taught her to always keep a smile on her face, and it's a piece of advice she holds close to her heart that helps her make her way through all sorts of trials and come out on top of in the end. This trait is basically unshakable, and even when faced with despairing and depressing scenarios, she puts on a smile in order to figure out the best way to pace herself through.
Her nearly unshakable aura of positivity also gives her a powerful air of confidence. She's warm and assuring, and that coupled with her powerful charisma simply draw others toward her, seeking out advice, leadership, and guidance, that she always does her best to respond to. That said, her confidence often brings about a competitive streak in her. If she's right about something, she'll prove it to any naysayers. If someone says she can't do something, she'll show them she can. And, if it turns out that she happens to be wrong, she'll either put in the necessary effort and work her way into being right, or concede to the impossible. She's not unreasonable, but she also doesn't particularly like being wrong either.
Soleil definitely fancies herself as 'one of the guys'. Much of her behavior makes her fit in easily with groups of men, though to those unused to it, this sort of behavior is actually pretty shocking. Initially, she's introduced as the leader of a band of men, all of whom follow her without any hesitation or question despite the fact that she's a woman. Likewise, in her introduction story, her post-battle victory leads her to start hitting on the girls that the group of them saved, all of whom find themselves immediately charmed and don't even bat an eye at the fact that it's clearly a girl flirting so heavily with them. She acts without any sort of shame or shyness, the kind of behavior typically not associated with girls (especially in this series hoo boy).
Soleil is the sort of person who, when asked, would probably reluctantly admit that her biggest weaknesses are her inability to sing or dance. It seems rather trivial, though her family tree extends back to a woman who was amazingly adept at both, and her own father has a penchant for rhythm as well. It feels to her like a family legacy that she doesn't really fit into well, and while these traits aren't something that causes her massive self doubt or depression, they are talents she'd like to possess, and a few of her support conversations with other characters reflect a longing to learn these skills. She does, of course, admit that she'd use them to impress cute girls, so it definitely comes off as more of a want to expand her repertoire, though her dedication toward learning is certainly telling of a real desire to round out her own abilities.
On the other hand, if you were to ask others about Soleil's weaknesses, you'd probably get a more substantial answer. She's overly bold, doing things such as changing out of dirty clothes in plain sight of others without any real shame or bragging about her frivolous exploits with the local townsladies. She's easily distracted, as the second a girl enters her radar, that's all that really matters to her, whether the girl in question is wholly interested or otherwise. Her boundaries are questionable at best, considering she has no qualms about spying on others if she feels it might be to her advantage, or getting overly familiar and touchy with anyone she wants. She at one point accidentally admits that the only thing she'd never forget is a cute girl's face, but that comes at the expense of many other things (notably other people's names, and even things she herself has said). For all her strength and bravado, she's got her fair share of points that can be used against her, and things that understandably rub others the wrong way.
Overall, Soleil's a very flirty girl, but also a very capable individual. She strives to better herself constantly, for whatever reasons she may have, and does her best to earn trust and respect from those around her, even when she's been perceived as unworthy of it.
TL;DR canon treats her like a gag lesbian but she deserves better please understand
Abilities: As a mercenary, Soleil is quite adept at combat! She's skilled with a sword, and is also durable enough to take her fair share of blows as well. Her in-game special ability makes her hit harder and sustain less damage when paired up with a fellow lady in battle ("Sisterhood"Known as "Girl Lover" in the Japanese version), and her mercenary specific abilities allow her to potentially heal a little bit of damage at the start of each turn ("Good Fortune") and automatically inflict a bit of damage on enemies when attacked ("Strong Riposte"). These abilities can easily be translated out-of-game to simply feeling empowered when fellow girls help her out, being a somewhat fast healer, and quick to retaliate respectively.
Strengths: Cheerful, capable, hardworking, charismatic, tenacious.
Weaknesses: Overbearing, impulsive, brash, flighty, g i rls.....
God/Shinki: God.
Why?: Because I am bursting at the seams from all these shinki I already have someone please take them off my hands
Also in her paralogue story, Soleil is introduced as the leader of a band of mercenaries, who all seem to respect her and take her seriously as the head honcho. She's naturally in her element as the one in charge of a situation, and takes the role of being a protector to those in her care very seriously. She herself wants to become the retainer to the next prince of Nohr, and as such would definitely see this sort of task as good practice for honing her skills and demeanor. Additionally, she's well equipped for combat in terms of experience and skills, so being the one to wield a weapon would come more naturally to her than being in a more passive role.
Top 3 Choices:
Ra, Egyptian, god of the sun.
Freyr, Norse, god of fertility, sexuality, peace and sunlight.
Mitra, Hindu, god of honesty, friendship, contracts, meetings and the morning sun.
God Type: As a god, Soleil would take her role as a protector very seriously, though she may not strictly adhere to what her previous incarnation was known for. Her main areas of expertise would definitely be in dispatching threats as well as providing emotional guidance, though the latter would probably be something more exclusive to her female followers. And to be totally honest she'd probably be using her divine powers to observe/impress cute girls on the Near Shore smdh....
Power: Fatigue nullification. With her power, she'd be able to ease off mental and physical fatigue on the specified target, causing fighters to be refreshed, worriers to feel at ease, and promote a feeling of general healthiness in those subject to it, it may even help clear up those bags under your eyes! Who knows!! It isn't a power that is able to heal physical wounds, and old mental scarring would likely be out of her range as far as to what she can mend (at least not without a lot of time and practice). To start with, the ability would likely have an effect similar to an instantaneous power nap or a quick massage, and as she gets more and more familiar with the power the effect becomes more and more thorough.

Soleil couldn't really deny that there was a certain sort of appeal to the strange drift between near shore and far shore residents. Of course, the fact that she could observe people going about their lives without being detected had its share of perks and drawbacks, but after getting used to the kind of attention her presence would or wouldn't gather from the passers by, it gave Soleil a rather productive idea.
First order of business is to find an area with people, but not too many people. There need to be distractions in place, but she doesn't want any accidental collateral damage. "Okay, here should be a good spot..." Talking to herself is not nearly enough to draw any sort of attention, thankfully, even in the middle of a nice grassy park. She checked her surroundings, spotting a decent handful of people enjoying the nice weather. Kids, mostly, some with their parents, men jogging through the area, women reading books... a good smattering of people, she thinks to herself.
Unsheathing the practice sword at her side, something that shockingly enough doesn't cause any alarm in the park-goers, she begins running through some drills, some steps, all while keeping an eye on those around her. The guys, she doesn't pay much mind to. It's the girls that are vital to this exercise! Maybe without them actually seeing her, she can figure out how to fight without getting distracted by them.
A cute brunette passes by.
Focus, Soleil.
She's got a breezy looking sundress on.
Don't get distracted...!
She's all dressed up, just for a walk in the park...?
"Wait, miss!"
Solely can't take it. Sheathing her sword and abandoning all thoughts of practice, she runs to catch up to the girl's side and gently place a hand on her shoulder to grab her attention.
"It would be such a shame to not show off that cute little outfit somewhere more public, wouldn't it?" The question is one she delivers with a sincere smile and a playful wink. "Won't you come grab a cup of tea with me?"
